Product Development - Satin Triptychs Goes Bigger
We love triptychs printed on satin fabric. Our first Triptych was Angel Oak. The finished size was 25” x 42”. The three panels were 14” wide and we were elated with the results! Our customers loved the satin fabric triptych and asked…….. Can you go bigger? So over time we developed our medium Triptych 32” x 48”. Soon after came the large Triptych 37” x 60” with each panel 20” wide. The large size has become our most popular size and our residential customers have used them over king size beds, over fireplaces, in dining areas and focal points over couches. Our commercial customers have used the large triptych to decorate lobbies, dining halls, fitness areas and restaurants. So, guess what the most frequently asked question is ……… Can you go bigger? So, for our Fall 2022 Shows we are introducing XL Triptychs, finished size 50” x 96” with each panel being 32” wide. We can’t wait to show the XL Triptych and get your feedback!
Wow, this is a lot of satin fabric for one panel!
Our product development cycle was fraught with small challenges and deveolpmental expenses. Satin availability, test printing for size and quality, larger foam board supplier and cost, stretcher frame stiffness to name a few. As always, we learned along the way and gained a stronger appreciation for product development in a small business. We thought that we would share a few pictures of the prototype assembly.
Aligning the printed fabric is a meticulous process and Lynne’s alignment is always high quality - differentiating our work from others!
